Lakeland and mountain birds

by group

We've compiled a list of birds found along the borders of Albania, Greece and fYR of Macedonia, with particular emphasis on the lakes and mountains around Lakes Prespa and Kerkini. Bit by bit we're working to add the birds found by the coast at Thessaloniki and the Axios river delta,

which are good spots for seeing some extra species on a visit here.

Note: this section is in development. There may be mistakes. And some birds are accidentals

and will shortly be removed.
