as of 02 Jan 2021
Note: We have been in touch with all our travellers on 2020 tours postponed to 2021. If you're reading this and have any questions, please get in touch ASAP.
As the roll-out of vaccines has begun in Europe, and globally, we are confident that 2020 tours postponed until the same times in 2021 will go ahead.
As for new bookings for 2021, well, at present we don't know precisely when European countries will relax lockdowns for Spring/Summer, what distancing rules may remain, or what paperwork travellers will need to show. In good news though, Greece has indicated that it expects to be open for Orthodox Easter.
Our view then is that we welcome enquiries for individual or private tours, and we can work with you and members of your party to ensure all sensible health and sanitary precautions are met.
And whilst we don't expect any force majeure events in 2021, where governments close borders and prevent travel, this year won't be like 2019 either. So for everyone's peace of mind, we are sticking with our relaxed cancellation terms (opens in new window/tab). This is always under review and may be subject to change as winter turns to spring.
Going forward, we'll offer our tours with self-guided options, as well as the usual group arrangements. For those that don't fancy travelling in a group, this means we would arrange all the hotels and meal, maybe a rental car too, then provide you with maps and very detailed itineraries. Whilst we update our website with this info, please get in touch if that may appeal.
Our thoughts are with our many friends around the Balkans - a region that heavily relies on tourism for income. Fingers crossed we'll be back out there with them very soon now, and also with you, our travelling companions. We hope that you, your friends and family stay safe and well, wherever you are reading this.
